As part of its succession planning and promoting within the company, Attacq has appointed David Oosthuizen development executive and Lourens du Toit  head of sustainability, infrastructure and land.

With 25 years experience in the property industry combined, Oosthuizen and Du Toit possess the skills needed to execute the group’s strategy, said the company in a media statement.

“Promoting from within has allowed us to develop and retain core competencies,” said CEO Jackie van Niekerk. Oosthuizen and Du Toit have an excellent understanding of the organisation, its history and core values, said Van Niekerk.

Oosthuizen has been with Attacq for the past five years as a senior property manager for developments and will oversee the group’s development portfolio.

Du Toit has been with Attacq for four years leading all activities from master planning to rollout and delivery of services to Waterfall City. In his new role, he will also concentrate on driving innovations in resource efficiencies, sustainability and green development.

“Succession planning is crucial and promoting from within enables us to reward top talent and retain the skills needed for their leadership teams,” said Van Niekerk.

Attacq is a JSE-listed real estate investment trust (Reit) with a diversified property portfolio which includes the mixed-use Waterfall City and a number of property investments and developments in SA. It also has investments in Central and Eastern Europe through its investments in JSE-listed MAS Real Estate.
