The Jaguar F-Pace is on its last legs. A total 328,000 examples have been manufactured at JLR's Solihull, UK production facilities since 2016 and the marque celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2025. The company has presented two special models — namely the F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition and the F-Pace SVR 575 Edition — as it readies to bid farewell to its largest cat.
Subtle exterior badging, gloss black roof rails and 20-inch alloy wheels in gloss black hiding red brake calipers are just some of the defining features of the 90th anniversary model, including sports seats with contrast stitching, an ebony headlining and aluminium interior trim.
Safety and luxury items include a tyre pressure monitoring system, park assist with a surround camera, a Meridian sound system, extended leather upgrade and electrically adjustable steering column.
European clients can choose to have their 90th Anniversary Edition F-Pace with a number of engines, including the plug-in-hybrid model. However, SA customers get the F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition in D200 AWD R-Dynamic SE grade exclusively. It’s powered by a 2.0l diesel engine producing 150kW and 430Nm mated an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
The juggernaut F-Pace SVR 575 Edition is also available to local customers. It benefits from a power upgrade to its throbbing supercharged 5.0l V8 engine, which now has output of 423kW and 700Nm, up from 405kW and 680Nm of the standard version. Acceleration from 0-100km/h is 4.0 seconds.
The SVR 575 Edition also gets unique SVR bodywork with a performance optimised front bumper, black exterior pack with black grille surround and bonnet louvres, an SVR rear bumper with black detailing and 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
More treats include heated and cooled suede cloth and Windsor leather-clad sport seats. Seats covered in semi-aniline leather are also available while SVR branding is found on the steering wheel and as aluminium veneers.
Local order books for both new SUVs are now open, and the units are expected in the country during the second half of 2024.
