Lamborghini has created a special one-off Revuelto supercar with exterior paint effects that took 480 hours to create.

The Opera Unica unveiled at the Lamborghini Esperienza Arte in Shanghai is a custom creation specially tailored for the Chinese market by Lamborghini Centro Stile and the Ad Personam personalisation department.

The customisation comprises a fiery hand-painted livery blending red, orange and black. The makeover is complemented by a cabin adorned in black and red with meticulous stitching and detailing, which required an extra 53 hours’ production time. The car bears a unique Opera Unica plate made of carbon fibre.

The Opera Unica is a showcase for the personalisation possibilities offered by the Italian carmaker.  The Ad Personam customisation programme allows customers to create their own personal Lamborghini with what Lamborghini says is an infinite choice of colours and materials.

The Revuelto was launched in 2023 to replace the Aventator as Lamborghini’s flagship supercar. Translated as “unruly” in Spanish, the Revuelto is the Italian brand’s most powerful roadgoing car yet and combines a 6.5l V12 petrol engine paired with three electric motors for combined outputs of 745kW and 725Nm of torque. It is able to blitz the 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 350km/h.

The two-seater hybrid car has a 10km range in all-electric mode. The electric motors provide four-wheel drive and enable electric torque vectoring, a first for Lamborghini. Power is fed through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

It is priced at R12.8m in SA.
