MARKET HIGHLIGHT: Rand back to February’s levels against pound

The rand closed 0.6% stronger against the pound on Thursday, reaching an eight-month best of R22.85/£ after dipping below R23 for the first time since February the day before. Soaring precious metal prices have helped support the local unit.
