Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is flying in to London this week for a diplomatic mission with city regulators to negotiate a deal that undoes the service's ban in Europe's largest city.
The visit underlines how damaging the ban, announced last week, could be to Uber's business.
About 40 000 drivers and 3.5 million people use the app in the city at least once every 90 days.
