Many people are wary of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it may impact their careers, but there are many AI tools that can help you do your job more efficiently.

“Working smarter, not harder is something that we should all be striving for right now. If used correctly, AI tools are a game changer — empowering you to not only be more productive but also allowing you to free up time to be more creative, strategic and focus on the parts of your job you love most,” says Emma-Jane Truter, founder and head social media strategist at Emma Is Social.

She advises:

  • ChatGPT is a good “conversational search engine”, providing short, useful answers to your questions, though it is not recommended as a way to avoid writing articles or reports. It can also create a summary from various documents you provide;
  • All your written work should be checked for spelling and grammar mistakes, which is how Grammarly can help you; and
  • Not everyone has an inner graphic designer they can channel, but Canva can help you produce engaging presentations, invitations and more.
